“Taking care of our planet, is a matter of looking after our own home. We can no longer exploit the earth’s resources—the trees, water, air and minerals—with no care for the coming generations. I support young people’s protests at governments’ inaction over the climate crisis.”His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama
“People today may feel anxious about the future, but we can take strength from the fact that more and more of us are genuinely concerned to protect the environment, taking account of the welfare of the whole of humanity, as well as the health of the planet, our only home.”His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama
“We have a Responsibility to look after our planet, it is our only Home.”His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama
All that I long for- Is to return to my home, Is this too much to ask for? Is this too much to long for? All that I ask for- Is to return to my Homeland, Is this too much to ask for? Is this too much to long for? All that I have always wanted- Is freedom for my country, Is this too much to ask for? Is this too much to long for? I know I have a house- But this is not my home, I know I have a place to stay- But this is not where I belong. Though I enjoy many freedoms- I know I am not free, Though I live in freedom- Still I long to be Free! By Lhasang Tsering
So chilling was the winter wind
So scorching was the summer heat
From here to There,
They all will go as they wished
But where can I go from here?
Wrote this poem some years back, when I was left back on campus during the vacations.
Delhi has an extreme climate. It is very hot in summer and very cold in winter. So when I wear shorts on my campus during winter. People around me must have thought what the hell he is doing with shorts in the shits cold winter, but the truth is I want to feel at home at least in the winter.
By SonsnowThe climate on the Tibetan plateau is cold and typical of the high-altitude plateau climate.
