Oh White crane!
White crane!
lend me your wings,
I won’t Fly Further to the West
From here I shall return
White crane!
Lend me your ears,
And Hear me out in Silence
Tell them how firmly we Stand
White Crane!
Lend me your Eyes,
And watch me in Distance
How United we stand

I would love to read from you.
Thank you for visiting by and taking your time to read mine.
So am, this is lovely. Oh white crane. I love it. Thanks for sharing. Keep going. XoXo
Thank You Selma, I will continue to clinch upon your compliment while writing in the future.
Darn, spell check ruined your name. Sonam.
Or my fat fingers got it wrong. Sorry.
Thanks, Sonam. XoXo
Lovely words …
Thank You
I visited the Potala many years ago now and it was glorious to see where HH once lived.
How lucky you are, I have seen it on my way. But never had the chance to visit it. My only wish is to witness His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama watching his countrymen from the Potala Palace.
Beautiful.. cranes are wonderful birds and good omens I believe.
In Tibetan Buddhism, cranes symbolize the Longetivity and reincarnation, which can also be considered a compassionate bird.
We need compassion and we need to learn to live from our Hearts. Many thanks again Sonam, for your thoughts and verse. 🙏
Great verse🕉 It would be great to have an “About” page on your site to give us context for your writing 🙏🙏
Thank You Dr B, I will surely write an “About” at my site.
Your poem is beautiful. It would be indeed be a miracle for the 14th Dalai Lama to return to his rightful place at the Potala Palace. I hope your wish and many others’ comes true.
Thank you for following me. Likewise, I will follow you and look forward to your writings.
Thank You Wendy for the kind compliment and best wishes.
Awesomely written
Thank You Kinge

Oh yes, thank you, I enjoyed the flight of your crane. White crane, save me a dance for later. For now, I am learning forbidden steps in a lonely exile, and I fear the choreography of aging teachers is beyond my physical understanding, but I think I will fly when my imagination lifts up into the sky or will it be only into some kind resting place from which I can return and take your wing under my shoulder and do an odd waltz.
Thank You for sharing the wonderful and thoughtful piece.
Such a beautiful poem!
Thank You!
Pleasure is all mine!
Beautiful. Reading your poems from the other side of the globe, makes me miss my home country more. Your line from interview “even the heart and mind choose to run away every now and then towards the homeland” is what I go through every day. Please keep writing more. Your work not only touches our hearts but it inspires us to write more 🙂
Thank You for going through my poems. Your encouraging and inspiring word means a lot to me. I will continue to write for the greater cause of my country and I will continue to wait for the day I can go back to my homeland freely.
